Artist's Comments
This was my final art project for my ninth grade art class. The mask in the pupil of the eye is supposed to symbolize the effects of global warming, and how we as a planet will suffocate as a consequence. Ehh. Don't judge me. I don't really take sides on it. Every other day I care, and there are some when I don't give a fuck at all.
I believe this was when I was obsessed with drawing pupils and eyelids and eyelashes... hahah. If I could go back and change this, I wouldn't have colored in the earth so flat and 2-D looking. :/ obviously no reference was used, as you can tell the top eyelid is waay to round at the top and the shadows are a bit over dramatic. medium - charcoal, graphite pencils, crayola colored pencils June 2008 |
